self worth to those experiencing hardship by offering high-end hair and beauty services free of charge. Our mobile salon enables us broad reach, offering hope to those in remote and hard to access communities.
THE FACTS
In Australia, 3.24M people living Below the poverty line and 1 in 3 women have experienced physical and/or sexual violence
2020 AU reports show there are 3.24M people living below the poverty line, including over 1.2M children & young people. 1 in 3 Australian women have experienced physical and/or sexual violence perpetrated by a man they know. This experience often catapults women and their children into financial distress and homelessness. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people experience higher rates of disadvantage, unemployment, poor mental and physical health, incarceration and involvement with the child protection system than other Australians.
